We visited Royal Fireplace based on the reviews in Yelp and were not disappointed. We wanted to convert to a gas fireplace and Harry was very helpful with suggestions without being pushy. We purchased the system with remote and a mantel. We chose the following weekend for installation.

The day of installation Armik arrived on schedule. He cleaned the firebox, installed the gas unit while taking time to thoroughly explain lighting the unit and using the remote. He then install the new mantel.

My only regret is we didn't do this years ago. Thank you Harry and Armik.

Great Service, Great Prices! We went to Royal Fireplace yesterday and met Harry, the owner. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and caring, while he helped us choose the right log set for our fireplace. We had been to a few other places, and were told that the installation would take 1-4 weeks, so when Harry said he could send his brother-in-law Armik to install it the next day we bought the chosen set immediatly.

Armik came this morning to install the set, and he was wonderful. He has been doing this for over 20 years, so in less than an hour we had our beautiful new fireplace set working and warming our family room. He also explained everything he was doing while he worked, which I appreciated. He is funny and a was a pleasure to have in our home.

Royal Fireplace is now our "go to" store for everything fire related.

We were looking for fireplace mesh or hanging screen for our fireplace. It wasn't easy to find, but this little shop had it. Great service! I am so glad we found this store and made our purchase there. The owner is very personable, and the store is filled with ANYTHING one might need for a fireplace, from high end to the humble screens in a variety of sizes.

Fireplace fixtures don't require much turn-over, but I will return or refer people to this store if a need arises.

We first stopped in to buy a chimney cap to keep the rain out and purchased one for a reasonable price. The salesman showed me how to install it. While we were there we looked around the shop and noticed the gas log sets. One display was burning and it really looked real and felt warm. I've never been a fan of gas logs but this one looked very realistic.

A few months later on a rainy day with no dry firewood we went back to look at the gas log displays. The salesman was helpful and we showed him a photo of our fireplace and he looked at the measurements and showed us which ones would fit. We had a discount card we received in the mail which he honored. We made our purchase and the owner said he have it installed by tonight! The installer came over a few hours later, in the rain, and an hour later we were sitting by our new warm gas log fire. No more wet firewood, smoke, sparks. Instant fire, we love it and use it a lot this time of year.

If you live in the general area of Pasadena and you want to have a gas log fireplace insert installed, Royal Fireplace is the merchant with whom you want to work. In early December I purchased an insert and installation services from Royal Fireplace. Harry, the owner, is very knowledgeable. There is a wide selection of product from which to choose and I felt it was fairly priced (i.e., not cheap but not outrageous either). I explained my needs (be sure and bring your fireplace measurements when you come to the store), Harry answered my questions, narrowed down the choices available to me, and I made my buying decision -- all within about 25 minutes. The sales receipt indicates the time as 12:26 PM. By 5 PM the same day I was sitting in my living room with the gas logs burning! I have enjoyed the insert tremendously with all the cold and wet weather we've been having. I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend Royal Fireplace.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a couple other "pro" shops around town who basically ended up not giving me good information and not following up with me. I'm so glad I finally contacted Royal Fireplace and after talking with Harry I decided to go in to meet with him. Harry is such a nice guy and really easy to talk to and he helped us decide what kind of gas logs to install and was helpful also about what types of repairs we may or may not need at the same time. It was a busy time (between November & Dec, before Christmas), so we were worried about the timing of it all, but Harry and his crew got it done in time so we could enjoy our fireplace before Christmas (Manny who does the install was really super cool and very polite and respectful of our house and cleaned up after all the work was completed). I highly recommend them if you want to install gas logs or do any repair to your fireplace. They also have a lot of nice stuff like doors and mantles, bbq's, etc. Keep in mind that this kind of work does need to be scheduled out so you have to have a little patience. I've seen other reviews that complain about having to wait 10 minutes and that there is only one guy in the shop. This is a small business run by the owner, so keep that in mind. That is a plus in my opinion. The fact that he has been in business for about 25 years or so says something. I am happy that we used Royal Fireplace and they did a great job!
